the infringement of personal choices

Alright I'm back after a looooong absence. saw this article on Yahoo, just had to write something.

foie gras is already banned in california and chicago and now philadelphia wants to ban it too? ok, i mean sure, the ducks are force-fed etc...but that's been going on for a hell of a long time and why hasn't anyone said anything till now? its been a delicacy in French cuicine and now those nutty activsts want to ban it along with rabbit( Italian favourite) and lobster? what has this world come to when a person cannot choose what he or she wants to eat?

why not go to an animal activist or vegetarian and say you might as well just drink water and eat sand because plants have a damned life too and ripping them off their stalks and roots may cause them pain, why not go to a Jew and say hey kosher food is not right, why not go to a muslim and say hey halal food doesnt comply with my views of animal welfare? i mean, hell, its alright to not want animals to be tortured and stuff but when this desire for animal welfare turns into a cult-like obsession eg. PETA, it's really something the rest of us should take note of. what these whackos are doing is not just preventing people from eating certain foods, what they're doing is taking away the rights of others to do whatever they wish and imposing their own dogmas and madhat beliefs, does it make them any different from the Islamic militants or the very people who butchered millions during the Spanish Inquisition or the Holocaust just to try creating their crazy utopia? if we give in this time, what the hell are they going to do next? ban all meat products? human beings are dying from hunger, disease, conflicts and these lunatics are more concerned about trivial things like what food people eat? i haven't seen such absurd behavior since marie antoinette said let the starving peasants who can't afford lousy bread eat cake instead, geesh!

we took a stand against facism and nazism, its time we took a stand against these fundamental morons that try to take away the very basic right to eat. this is not only about food, this is about personal choice and rights.

VIVA FOIE GRAS!

It's fekking moronic. Have they actually seen these creatures being force fed? I saw a farmer do this once, and the goose in question didn't have to be restrained or wrestled with. It took the pose of a baby fowl and he just stuck a funnel in its mouth and poured the feed down.

I dunno how they do it on a grander scale, but the goose I saw didn't have a problem with it, and seemed to be looking forward to the feeding. Regardless, they are food. WHen I think of the money wasted combating cock fighting and now this, it makes me sick.
